Generation is taking longer than expected

What's normal#

A first generation builds an entire website: files and imagery, so it takes longer than a follow-up change. Progress indicators in the workspace confirm that work is happening.

What to do#

1. Keep the workspace open: progress continues in the background
2. Watch the artifact card for newly written files; it shows the work is advancing
3. If the workspace shows a preview error notice, use retry from the chat

If it stays stuck#

If progress stops for an extended period, retry the generation. Failed generations never overwrite your last verified revision: retrying is always safe.
