Elfsight customer reviews

Display customer reviews from your published Elfsight reviews widget.

Connect an Elfsight reviews widget to show customer feedback on your promotional website. Set up the review source and presentation in Elfsight, then supply the public Widget ID to Adaptar.

Before you begin

  • Create a reviews widget in Elfsight and connect your business's review source.
  • Replace any provider demo content with your own business's reviews.
  • Choose the layout and appearance, then publish the widget in Elfsight.

Find your Widget ID

Use Elfsight's reviews setup guide to connect your review source and open Install. The Widget ID example shows which part of the code to copy; skip its package installation steps when using Adaptar.

  1. 01

    Open the installation code

In your Elfsight dashboard, find the published reviews widget and choose Install.

  2. 02

    Find the widget container

Locate the class beginning with elfsight-app- in the embed code.

  3. 03

    Copy the public ID

Copy the five hyphen-separated groups after elfsight-app-. Do not include that prefix, the HTML tag or quotation marks.

Add it in Adaptar

  1. 01

    Open your project

Start from a generated website in the workspace, then open + → Site features.

  2. 02

    Choose Elfsight Reviews

Open Reviews & social, find Elfsight Reviews, and select Add to website.

  3. 03

    Enter your settings

Fill in the fields below and select Add to website. Adaptar updates the website and checks the implementation. This uses normal generation credits.

  4. 04

    Review and publish

Wait for the update to finish, review it in preview, then publish the verified revision. Test the provider's behaviour on the published page as well.

Configuration

SettingRequiredWhat to enter
Widget IDYesYour public widget identifier in the form xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

Use the ID from a reviews widget, not another Elfsight app. Adaptar checks the ID format and generated embed; that does not verify the widget's ownership, review source or review authenticity.

Test the result

  1. Open the published site and confirm the reviews belong to the intended business.
  2. Compare the displayed content with your Elfsight widget. Refresh timing and filtering are controlled there.
  3. Check mobile layout, scrolling, review controls and source links.

Troubleshooting

IssueWhat to check
The ID is rejectedRemove the elfsight-app- prefix and copy the complete hyphenated ID from Install.
Demo or unrelated reviews appearConnect the correct business in Elfsight, publish that widget, and confirm its ID matches Adaptar.
The widget is blankCheck publication, provider usage limits and content blockers on the published site.
New reviews have not appearedCheck Elfsight's refresh timing and filters. Updates may not be immediate.

Edit or remove the feature

To change the connected destination, reopen Site features, choose Update on the feature, change its settings, and select Update website. Review and publish the new revision. To remove it, choose Remove and confirm Remove feature, then publish the resulting revision.

Removing an embed from Adaptar does not delete its content, cancel a provider subscription, or disconnect accounts in the provider's dashboard. Changes made within the provider may appear without an Adaptar update; changing the public ID or link requires updating Adaptar too.
