Mailchimp signup form
Add an email signup form connected to your Mailchimp audience and grow your list.
The Mailchimp feature adds an email signup form to your website. When a visitor submits the form, their details go directly to your Mailchimp audience: Adaptar handles the form, Mailchimp handles the list.
Before you begin
- A Mailchimp account with an audience (list) you want subscribers to join
- The form action URL from Mailchimp's embedded signup form
Finding your form action URL
- 01
Open Mailchimp
Go to Audience, then Signup forms.
- 02
Choose Embedded forms
Select the embedded form option for your audience.
- 03
Copy the form action
In the generated code, copy the list-manage.com subscribe endpoint including its u and id parameters.
Configuration
| Setting | Required | What to enter |
|---|---|---|
| Form action URL | Yes | The Mailchimp list-manage.com subscribe endpoint with u and id parameters |
| Subscribe button text | No | Custom label, e.g. “Join the list” |
| Collect first name | No | Adds a first-name field to the form |
Test the result
Publish the update, submit a test signup with your own email, then confirm the subscriber appears in your Mailchimp audience. The browser submits directly to Mailchimp: Adaptar does not confirm subscriptions on Mailchimp's behalf.
